About Knights Basketball

Our Mission

Knights Basketball strives to provide a high quality educational and athletic experience for each athlete, including the opportunity to:

  • Learn and achieve in a positive coaching environment
  • Contribute meaningfully as a valuable member of the team
  • Learn life lessons that will have value beyond the playing arena
  • Develop fundamental skills and learn effective game strategies
  • Have fun playing the game

Team Goals

Each knights basketball team provides a season-long learning experience where athletes are encouraged to value:

  • Effort – first and foremost, and at all times.
  • Learning – as a season long (and lifelong) goal.
  • Mistakes – as valuable learning opportunities.
  • Teamwork – and the power of “we” over “me.”

Our coaches understand their critical roles in helping us deliver upon our mission and goals. All of our coaches are certified as “double goal coaches” by the positive coaching alliance. We provide learning opportunities for our coaches, so we can become better teachers of the game.

Program Priorities

At Knights Basketball, we pursue priorities that positively impact player enjoyment, including:

  • Honor the game – show respect for: rules, opponents, officials, teammates, and self.
  • Communicate positively – creating a better learning environment and more enjoyment.
  • Experience high school athletics – We provide opportunities for our players to experience high school basketball, and to meet local high school players and coaches.
  • Athletic training – We provide athletic training, so our players can achieve improved strength and athleticism, and can learn the value of personal athletic training for advanced athletes.
