WHAT COACHES SAY

"The Knights travel program teaches all the skills and fundamentals to be a successful basketball player. Players learn ball handling skills, how to shoot properly, post moves and most importantly how to defend. They motivate players to work hard and play as a team. Each player that goes through the Knights program puts in the work to achieve a goal of playing basketball at the high school level"

KELSEY JAMES, HEAD GIRLS VARSITY COACH - ICCP

“Knights Travel Basketball provides players with the individual skills and team concepts necessary to compete at the high school level.  Their partnership with Breakaway Basketball ensures that each player gets a hands-on opportunity to learn from coaches who truly know how to teach the game in a positive environment.”

VINCE DORAN, HEAD BOYS VARSITY COACH - YORK HS

"Knights Basketball does an excellent job preparing young athletes for high school.  Their emphasis on individual skills along with team concepts gives every player the tool kit to compete"

ROB WAGNER, ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL FOR ATHLETICS - YORK HS

"Knights Basketball allows local players to get quality instruction along with competitive game experience. The partnership with Breakaway Basketball has drastically improved youth basketball in Elmhurst and surrounding communities. I have observed the program from its inception and the participation and skill level continues to improve making it one of the top travel programs in the area."

TJ TYRRELL, HEAD BOYS VARSITY COACH - ICCP

"As the leader of Breakaway Basketball, we look to partner with organizations whose number one goal is to do what’s best for the kids. Partnering with the Knights was a no brainer due to the leadership and coaches who are trying to make decisions that help give the players the best learning experience possible. The Knights understand that teaching basketball is one thing, but ultimately teaching them lessons that will change their lives in a positive way is the goal. At Breakaway, we are proud to partner with the Knights."

GREG KTISTOU, BREAKAWAY BASKETBALL

WHAT PARENTS SAY

Overall with the program, I am very pleased, including Breakaway. This was the first year my son participated in a travel team and I cannot begin to tell you how valuable the Breakaway Sessions were for not only my 3 children but all the kids, this should definitely continue, it is a real differentiator.                           - 4th Boys Parent

Breakaway was a huge asset to my child’s development.                     - 4th Boys Parent

I would HIGHLY recommend Knights to anyone looking to start or continue club basketball.  The first impression I got from tryouts was tremendous.  Eye contact, positivity, friendliness of your coaches and staff- Well done!!!     -4th Girls Parent

The facilities at OBPD, the coaches and the Breakaway program definitely are what sets the Knights program above others in the area. Thanks           -
5th Girls Parent

My daughter was in (a different) program the last few years and I am happy to say Knights basketball is heads and tails a much better organization. The coaching staff and it’s consistency, the positive team environment between both teams of 6th grade girls and the organization from the coaches were all a vast improvement for my daughter. I am glad we made the move to Knights.
                - 6th Girls Parent

Keep the great attitude that the program has , let the kids be little and let them enjoy the game and learn.    - 5th Girls Parent

This was our first year playing for Knights with no travel Basketball experience. I would not want to have had the experience with any other club but this one. It was a great experience, my daughter learned a lot, made great friendships, built her confidence & performed like she has never done before . Basketball is now her top sport to play.   -  8th Girls Parent

Another great season! Our only wish is that the season was longer! Great approach to coaching and development- wonderful modeling for the boys of good sportsmanship         - 6th Boys Parent

This was our first year with Knights after playing with a different program for several years and we were thrilled to be part of the Knights program.  The coaching was fantastic, the kids on the team were a great group and the Breakaway skills were a nice bonus to have.
- 7th Boys Parent

The program is an asset to the community. Keep up the good work.    - 6th Boys Parent

I think The organization is well run and the overall development philosophy is better than most.  Keep up the good work!
-  8th Girls Parent

My daughter really enjoyed playing for the Knights this year.  It was her first time playing competitive basketball.  She can't wait to play again.  She learned a lot during the season.  The coaches really cared about the girls and worked hard to develop their skills.  Playing time was fair and equal.  It was a great experience.  Communication via the app was great.     - 4th Girl Parent

WHAT PAST PLAYERS SAY

"Knights Basketball was key to my development as a young athlete and my transition to playing four years of high school basketball.  I was pushed to excel while learning that failure was an important part of the overall process.  Knights Basketball provided me with an opportunity to compete in practice and games while still having fun."   -  Michael O'Laughlin, Fenwick HS, West Virginia University
